8ltg
I had read through on a new playthrough once you had settled down your mods list. Do not remove them as it might break your save game especially mod with esm esp that have scripts going on. Wherea mods that just manually go into textures, meshes... without esm or esp are safe to remove. Ok i had some mods that wanted to try but mods author recommend mod be loaded above UFO. Where i already sorted out my load orders. Do not wish to risk breaking my save with a change of load order and formid. However i am not sure whether it will break if i change my load order. When my formid of UFO and other followers items start to change in game. Will it break? Or cause weird issue? Now i only install new mod to try where it place at bottom of my load order on a clean save. And also backup my save before installing. But i am hesistant to install good mod which require a change of my load order. Especially esm file or other esp file which need to be place above my existing mods load order. :)
DrNewcenstein
New meshes and textures can be dropped in and removed with no problem, as long as the meshes aren't too extreme (like swapping your teenage waif chick body for a Two-Ton Tessie Bluberella body, which will give your armor mod a hernia). If it's just whiter white-chick textures, you should be good as long as the textures don't suck. I removed Tamriel Reloaded (ESP and textures) mid-save with no problem. Obviously house mods and things you were wearing or otherwise held in your possession can cause problems when removed mid-save. I rearrange my load order quite often during an existing game, and cannot say for certain that issues I have are related. I can start a New Game and CTD when Immersive Creatures tries to spawn a pack of wolves on the way to Riverwood from Helgen, or I can escape Helgen, get Rayya, Serana, Mjoll, Iona, Lydia, and Jenassa, build Lakeview manor completely, retrieve the Golden Claw, get all 3 words of Aura Whisper, and go talk to the Neckbeards before crashing. It just depends on the phase of the moon and day of the week in my experience. Make a Save before loading a new mod, then make a save with the mod active, then exit to desktop and reload the game and new-mod save. No guarantee it'll work, but there's no proof that every single mod will have a problem, either. No two players will have the same problems, either (unless the mod itself is totally bjorked).
