Ok so most things say just extract to data folder and if asked to overwrite say yes. But does this get rid of the mod textures/meshes already saved or does it just add them to it??

i never understood that ether there is a much longer and harder way but easyer to understand

unzip the file anyware and then find the matching files and just copy the highest sub-folder that you dont have into the one in the dada folder

Carefully read the warning messages. Some will say "replaces the folder, but keeps all other files inside the folder intact." Sometimes it warns that it'll replace a file. It is very, very rare that two files from two different modders will have the same name, so there's little danger of getting the 2nd error message. Almost any mod that adds a texture or mesh or something along those lines will prompt to overwrite folder(s) because TESCS requires you to use those folders for those file types.

Another time that it would ask for a replacement is if the mod is one that is supposed to replace textures & such provided by bethesda without using a .esp file (such as one I found here that replaces the textures for all septims (coins) in the game)

edit

Woah, sorry about that, I didn't realize I was still on the 3rd page of posts
