pandora6969
Ohh My, I have been using OBMM to place all my mods, is this wrong? I usually go to the create screen and move the 7zfile or the WinZip file and it automatically places them for me. Is this a no no, could this be the reason I am having so many problems? Boy this is so much to learn. I am also think about changing my operating system from vista to windows 7, is anyone using windows 7 with moding? Is it any easier? pandora6969
Well I just restarted with a new oblivian start and I think I know whats causing my problem, I believe its Francesco's mod that I wanted on my game. I dont want to install FCOM, I just wanted Francesco's mod but I don't know how to use BOSS. I know I am supposed to copy the file to the order it goes but everytime I do this I get the same error Windows cannot find BOSSLog.txt make sure you typed the name correctly then try again. Can someone explain step by step how I get boss to work. so far my mods are these: Frescos ModBag of HoldingGem Price FixImperialUniqueDistrictsHGEC BodyAlchemy GirlAlternate Start Frescos mod is killing my game, and I narrowed it to that and from what I have read its a killer mod if you don't use BOSS to load it right. I am new at this so please expain it without using abreviated letter cause I might not understand it :) I think once I get Boss to work properly, this should fix my troubles. bben46
Boss works outside of the game, and will not show in OBMM as it doesn't work there either. using the Windows explorer (No, not internet explorer) go into your Oblivion\data folder, find BOSS.bat and click on it. it will take a minute or so - with just a few mods probably not that long. then give you a list. if you do nothing else, that is the load order that Oblivion and OBMM will use on the next start. If there are mods that BOSS cannot place, they will be at the end of the list. You can use OBMM to move them wherever you think they should be. BOSS is not perfect and new updates are released every so often. OBMM's OMOD is probably the easiest way to install mods, and it allows for a very easy removal which manual installation doesn't. It works fine with BOSS also.
