Raise or lower NPC disposition by wearing certain clothes

I really don't care for scripting, but I've done some basic scripts for Maya MEL and back when I used to edit for ZDoom. I modified a script in the No Encumbered Swimming mod, and am starting to feel a little more confident.

 

I have an idea for a mod that makes NPCs' disposition towards you raise if you're wearing certain clothes and lower if you're wearing others. Naked would be really lower. The NPC's responsibility setting would be a factor as well, with low responsibility characters liking you more if you're wearing middle or lower class clothing and less if you're wearing upper class. Vice versa for high responsibility characters.

 

This mod would also dramatically raise the prices of upper class clothes (a measly 6 for a royal silk robe embroidered with gold???), to reflect their tangible value to the player.

 

As for guards being affected as well, I feel it actually makes sense in a way. If not, the script would include exceptions for guards.

 

 

I'm sure the answer is yes it's possible, but I haven't seen anything like it so I thought perhaps it wasn't for some reason. I thought I'd ask first because scripting isn't really my bag and I don't want to devote time to learning it when I could be modeling, if it's not. On the other hand, if it is, then I would be happy to devote the time, get my result, and then say I can script as well.
