New "Modder" in need of some help

basically i want to do what all wow-playing oblivion players want to do, i want to create a spell with a push effect, because, well i just love it.

 

i've read as many guides as i can find about "How" to do it, although, actually doing it is another matter, i can create custom spells and items and cells easily enough in the Construction Set, but i've no idea with scripting, and i've found a few mods that can do it, but basically i just want to learn the mechanics/scripting for myself so i can use it in my own plugin/mod for my own use, (i cant stand the cluttered feel of 7-8 plugins all used for tiny abilities from each of them)

 

so if anyone can explain how this works, or how to do it, (and by explain i mean imagine your talking to a complete layman) i'd be really greatfull.

 

P.s. if its any use, im running the most Original of Oblivion Versions, because i've not been able top sucsesfully patch it, and i've none of the expansions.

 

p.p.s. if anyone can tell me how to resolve the "older file was not found, however another file of the same name/type was found, patching cannot continue" error on my patching, i'd be more than happy to update it.

Hey hey. Physics. Who doesn't Love Physics. Playing a Game Like Wow Really Makes me want to Shuv Something Aswell.

... If you have Played GTA IV, The Physics are Almost Real. Just running into Someone Knocks them down.

Infact He made More then Just a Push Spell.

Not that im aware of, or "Not Knowingly" i played it ages ago and have only recently re-installed on this new machine, since then i've done nothing but download the construction set and some mods and patch 1.2"something" because i heared the pushactoraway scripting was only introduced in there.

 

as for using the pushactoraway thing i've done it through the Command Console so i've some idea of how it works, but no idea how to implement that into a spell, because im not sure how "Targeting" works in the oblivion mechanics, what i mean is, i could probably write a script attached to a low damage spell with push actor away, but how would the script know who it was targeting ect ect. thats the bits that confuse me.

 

@Dust85 the problem with these mods is that they rely on 1.2, and i cant patch for some reason, im stuck in the original release version :( otherwise that seems a fantastic option! :D
