Full Fallout Realistic Overhual

I'm looking for (and I'm sure I'm not the only one here) a series of mods that have to meet a series of several requirements:

1.) Realistic sounds for weapons and all other sound effects (i.e everything NOT sounding like a 80's action film, etc).

2.) Realistic weapon aiming (i.e no zoom on non-scoped weapons; centered aiming on non-scoped weapons such as in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4; etc.)

3.) Realistic damage (i.e. a shot in the head will kill a person including yourself; a couple of shots in the body will kill a person including yourself; think Rainbow Six on hard; etc.)

4.) Realistic environment (i.e. lots of people/creatures without screwing with Fallout lore meaning more not new; capable of walking in EVERY building; radiation in everything especially in the river and other standing water is no longer a joke; architecture and landscape pertains to real life DC minus the Fallout lore liberties; textures and meshes appear realistic; etc.)

5.) Realistic weapons (i.e. real world weaponry without changing the Fallout lore; etc.)

6.) Realistic characters (i.e. NPC's appear real; nudity for both genders; sex/prostitution; clothes and equipment on NPC's change a daily basis; not everyone looks alike or is built the same unless they happen to be a Gary clone; eating, drinking, sleeping are all required for survival; marriage; etc.)

7.) Realistic society (i.e. farmers; towns expanding instead of isolated; large population since it has been 200 years; all forms of vice including stip clubs and drug dens; more buying and more selling of slaves; penal system based on individual town society; etc.)

8.) Realistic vehicles (i.e. car, motorcycle, tank, helicopter, boat all based on the Fallout lore; any Fallout lore based vehicles not in vanilla Fallout such as Airships; etc.)

9.) Maintaining Lore (i.e. not jacking with the vanilla concept by changing it; add-ons that abide by lore; etc.)

10.) Utilities (i.e. mod loaders such as FOMM; mod organizers to set loading order properly and that prevent crashes and conflicts; mod assistants such as FOSE; etc.)

11.) FULL compatibility with GOTY/all DLCs as well as each other

12.) Stable with minimal conflict

These requests and my goals are all intended to make the most out of the game by making it as real and as immersive as possible while at the same time adhering to the fiction, lore, and fantasy of the Fallout universe. I believe that in today's gaming, mods can make a video game far more than what it was. Reality can blend with fiction and still be entertaining. Think about this: the Matrix. The concept of the Matrix was accentually a video game that your brain couldn't tell the difference between it and reality, right? Well I want to recreate that same concept with Fallout 3 without putting a hole in my head lol. Sure you are going to have Super Mutants but that makes with the lore. However, do all the other astetics of the game have to be equally fictitious? NO!

I ask for the Nexus community's assistants in a project that has a goal I know others share. Help me compile a list of mods that adhere to my 12 requirements. Let us build a realistic Fallout together, and once we have accomplished this I WILL post the mother of all realism overhaul mod packs that will end all arguments and give credit to the great modders of the Nexus community that not only help in compiling this list but also are responsible for the mods that we all discover for this list and future mod pack.

And what have you done to make Fallout better? I guess your name could go in the credits as

:D Do not mind him, but Tony is right. "Let us build a realistic Fallout together", you shouldn't say something like that at all, you've haven't contributed to anything at all but to ask others for mod links.

I do not think it is a good idea to mix all of these mods together. People want variety, that's the reasons for having individual files uploaded on Nexus instead of having overhauls here and there. If you compile all of these, it'll just be exactly another FWE Overhaul mod or FOOK overhaul mod. So it's kinda redundant. And you don't need to go through all the trouble to compile it all, just make a short web link to this thread so others may know and download it through these links as shortcuts.

Vehicles is one of those projects that is still WOP's. There is a lot to be said about the mechanics of the game. Also, some things cannot be changed at this time. Akimbo weapons for example.

I do agree in some sense... all I have done is played, tested, and given feedback on mods. I have not actually made any mods that make fallout better. But believe me, I think you need to search a bit more.

9. Well there are some lore specific mods out there. a cool armour mod is NAPA:

The creator put some real thought into the background of this armour. His mods had lore in mind.

I will keep looking and if I find anything, I will try to send it to you.

Tony and you are right. I haven't contributed, but I want to, and this is how I want to. I not really asking for a FOOK. All I want to do is compile a series of stable realism mods that maximize the immersion capabilities of the game. There are a lot of great mods out there. Some I know about, some I don't, and some that no one knows about. I just want to let the Nexus community know what is out there in terms of accomplishing the concept that I have laid out and all I ask is a head up on whats out there. 8000+ files on FO3Nexus alone not to mention what is not on Nexus. Furthermore, obviously, my list could always use tweaking, concepts that I forgot to mention, just as Imp of the Perverse mentioned on one of my other post on this same topic. There is a lot of data out there to go through. More than one person really can. All I ask is if anyone else has similar goals in mind as to what I have stated let's work together, find out things, test out thing, and let the Nexus community know about it. I know there is a large community interested in realism just as I am and those are the one that I want to cater to.

Im pretty sure Imp the Perverse was the guy that made the height mod, which is one of those things that is often forgoten, but far more immportant to realism than anything else on your list.

Though, I had to quite using his mod and make my own version because as much as I like haveing a variety of heights for the people in my game, I couldn't get past the fact that most of the female characters were between 4'8" and 5'2" while the male characters were all about 6'.

All measurements done based on my approximations of standard Fallout door heights and other in game references that could be very far from accurate, but the simple fact is all the female characters were at least 1 to 1 and a half head heights shorter than the males.

But with a little tweaking it could be a huge help for realism.

6.) Realistic characters (i.e. NPC's appear real; nudity for both genders; sex/prostitution; clothes and equipment on NPC's change a daily basis; not everyone looks alike or is built the same unless they happen to be a Gary clone; eating, drinking, sleeping are all required for survival; marriage; etc .)

7.) Realistic society (i.e. farmers; towns expanding instead of isolated; large population since it has been 200 years; all forms of vice including stip clubs and drug dens; more buying and more selling of slaves; penal system based on individual town society; etc.)

This is the area I have been experementing with in my WIP, and I can assure you most of this is not simple stuff.

As far as haveing the people of the Wasteland look unique, the problem you are going to run into is that there is only TWO sets of clothes, one male, one female.

The characters shape is 100% determined by the outfit they are wearing and 0% determined by the body replacer you use, so basically when it comes down to it, even if you had 12 different body types, once they put on a Raider Painspike armor or whatever else, they would all look the same because there is only ONE Raider Painspike armor.

So, this guy is makeing a mod that begins to fix this problem, and you can find it here. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10235

I havn't tested it, but it seems like this guy has got a good start on fixing the problem. Though the problem still comes down the the availability of meshes for each body type, and when it comes down to it most armors don't have a version for each body type... So if you download that armors to work with Type 3, they will still look the same whether you use Cali or Alice or whateve else.

So basically my point is, FEM is going to be your best bet when it comes to haveing unique NPC body types and such, but it is still going to be up to the people makeing meshes to have one for each body type. Which I personally wouldn't even bother messing with because there are just too many different body types out there.

And even with the different body types, they still mostly come down to different peoples versions of the ideal body and don't represent a large variety of characters.

Now as far as changeing equipment on a daily basis, I am going to work that into my mod, but only on a very small scale with the people in my town. I don't know how well it could be pulled off on such a large scale as the entire Wasteland.

When it comes to Farms and Realistic Towns and Marriage all you have to do is look up my WIP thread called a Growing and Dynamic Town, because I don't really feel like explaining the whole thing again.

But the problem is that if I don't find a writer for my mod then pulling off any sort of a relationship isn't really going to work.
