DrNewcenstein
I've got 8 custom NPCs, all with identical AI settings (Aggressive, Brave, Neutral), of various races (2 Nords, a Bosmer, a Dunmer, 2 Redguard, 2 Imperials), and in the same 2 Factions (Player Faction and my mod's custom Thalmor Hunter Faction). One of the Imperials insists on attacking everything not in his Faction - Mercenaries, Vigilants, Farmers, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes). He's not using a Template, and his Package is the same as 2 of the other NPCs, so it's not that. Even setting his AI to Unaggressive, Average, and Happy, he goes bananas. Of course, if the others are in range, they join his slaughterfest. Are custom Imperials just bugged or has this guy's AI gone Skynet?
DrNewcenstein
Ok, I got it worked out. I had his voice type set to MaleBrute, which apparently carries with it an Aggression Factor (somehow) where anything outside that Voice Type's Faction is considered an enemy. Set him to MaleCommander and the little woodland critters frolic at his feet. And M'aiq can stand in his little Idle Box without fear of being chased by a guy with a Daedric 2-hander
GalimeerKandarus
NPC voices carry aggression variables? Interesting. I'm working on a nearly identical problem with a mod of my own, so thanks for the insight.
