Visbontavon Posted April 12, 2006 Share Posted April 12, 2006 Well, I'm not actually motivated, or skilled enough (yet), to make this mod, but I thought I'd throw it out there for somebody else who's more interested. The mod... AI that pick pockets you. Ever wonder why you go down to the docks and the bums and thieves guild members never try to pick pocket you? Obviously, if you're a member of the theives guild this should be turned off. You could make it so that a skill like athletics or armor gives you a chance of detecting them. Also, I'd imagine that if you find somebody pick pocketing you, the law would turn the other way if you beat them down or "took it back" by interacting with them. If you discovered the NPC, they should probably try and run away and hide in a house. Also, I just thought of another that'd be nifty. What if you could "bash" open a locked box/door? Anybody who's played Deus Ex or Neverwinter Nights knows what I'm referring to. Well, take 'em or leave 'em, but I won't be working on these, at least until I finish up on my current projects. loveme4whoiam Posted April 12, 2006 Share Posted April 12, 2006 I'm sure that there was an anecdote during development of one of the devs being in a tavern around lunchtime. One guy didn't have any money so the dev watched as he (the broke character) went around and pick-pocketed the diners for some money. I have no idea if this behaviour made it to the final build, but then I'm not a massive observer of NPC behaviour. I'm sure that this is possible to add within the confines of the engine.
