heavywaters
I was just wondering if its possible to use the construction set without the full game installed.I realize that it would depend heavily on what kind of modding I intend to do, but if I only need the Oblivion.esm, could I create the file path and copy the esm and work from there to make a new esp? forli
I think you need also the files .BSA because when CS load Oblivion.esm it show 2k of messages for missing textures, meshes, sounds and other files.

Pronam
It usually requires an installation of oblivion as the CS gets installed in the folder of oblivion.

The fact of the matter is that if your laptop can't run the game due to graphical limitations (the main bottleneck), you won't be able to use the CS very well. If your computer can't run the game because of RAM limitations, you won't even be able to load up the .esm in the CS. If your problem is processing, you might as well just install it all since you wouldn't be saving space by trying to do it any other way.

Dont see the point of installing if I cant play the game on my rather slow laptop, but just wanted to work on my mod in the comfort of my lazy-boy.
