Imperial Dragon Citadel

I was thinking about that... I did set 2 battlemages as High Elf and one of the soldiers as Redguard... and yeh 2 Orcs... the soldiers will NOT be imperial legion by the time I have finished. They are Order of the Dragon and if my character can be the Champion of the Order of the Dragon and he is an Orc.. then why can't there be other Order of the Dragon Orcs? The soldiers are only wearing Imperial Legion/Palace armor for the moment rather than have them standing there naked hahaha I will create a new faction... or rather expand on the existing Order of the Dragon faction that is already in the game (When you become "Champion of Cyrodil") and I will make them part of that faction and I plan on using different armor for them... I was thinking taking the Palace armor and changing it to look the color of Ebony and add the Imperial Dragon symbol on their chest. With regards to them shouting "stop criminal scum" etc... if I set their faction as Imperial Watch/Imperial Legion as well.. then surely that should make the appropriate dialog kick in.. apart from with the Orc one though.. because as you said there is no package for an Orc to say such a thing.. hmm.. that is something I will have to look into, but thats a minor issue and I will sort that out later.. for the mean time I just wana get the general feel of the place up and running.. make all the buildings accessible, add guard patrol routes, and make the area look more.. well.. busy! It still looks rather empty.. need a few bushes/strawberry bushes.. benches and outside chairs.. that sort of thing.. I also remember a cat mod somewhere... someone made a mod where there would be small cats wandering about the town.. I will have to look for that mod and ask the creator if they mind me adding it to my mod.. giving acknowledgement for it of course!

 

Another idea I had was adding a little "china town" type aspect to it.. maybe if I can find some small boats (Ever seen the film Bloodsport? Where he is being chased by the two guys and he runs across the small boats? That sorta thing) I can stick some people sitting down in them eating bowls of rice with those chinese hats on (please excuse me I dont know what they are actually called).. perhaps someone standing there fishing..

Oh and if anyone would like to contribute then please let me know. I am looking for someone to make appropriate signs for outside a few of the buildings.. so if you want your name or something mentioned in the mod then make a sign for one of the following shops/buildings and the owner of that shop/building will be given your name :)

I meant the one that hangs on the wall mate :) Thats exactly what I was after! Forget the actual picture I posted, that one that you posted would look great :) So Pronam mate you wana be the landlord of the pub? Should I use yer real name or Pronam? Do you want me to design what you will look like in the game or do you wana knock up some clothing for your sprite to wear? hehe :)

 

Copy a mesh and add that texture to it? Yeh I did know hoe to do it before but forgot how to do it.. I need a BSA extractor (BSA Commander I think the program is called..) to extract the meshes/texture files from the game install and then I need to use a program (forget which) to then open the extracted meshes and then replace the texture... NifScope is it? *unsure*

 

Edit:

I just opened a NIF file using NifScope 1.0.21 and it is not showing any textures.. Does that mean I have to extract all the textures from the BSA file before NifScope will display them? *unsure*

OK... I have found where I need to go to replace the texture in NifScope however the file you posted is a PNG.. how do I convert from PNG to DDS? What program do I need to get? :)

What font did you use and could you post a copy of that same picture but without text or the mugs on it so I can use that image to create other banners? PLEASE!!!! hehehe :)

Messing around usually leads to the right solution with modding ;). Still, here is an way described which many use.

 

Getting my name in sounds fun ;D. Well, I'd have to do some more before that. Tell me any other signs you need and what little image would be associated with as mostly vanilla could be used. I can't recall if there is something for a clothing shop, any suggestions?

hahaha yeh thats how I always make mods for games! I used to mod Freelancer when it came out.. new ships for it, new stations etc etc.. modded Neverwinter Nights too :) Morrowind and Oblivion.. just not done it in ages *shrugs* my memory is like a sieve.. the more information that goes in it pushes previous information out! hahaha

HEY WAIT!!! What about adding a hotel there? Hmm... forgot to add one of them! So we could name it after the hotel/motel in Psycho! hahahahaha What was that place called? hahahaha

Oblivion doesn't use a natural font, they created it themselves and didn't share it. What I did was a retexture, meaning cutting, pasting then fixing it so it won't look ugly. I'm good at those, that's why I ask if I could do any others :).

Of course I can give a blank sign if you want to do yourself :). But you'd have to use another font.

 

A friend suggested me 'Steels Edge' for the weapons store..how about that? (it sound familiar, but I dono from what.)

Got any other ideas for the other names for the other places?
