brairbrain Posted June 29, 2014 Share Posted June 29, 2014 Has anyone ever seen or interested in creating a "pistol version" of the tri-beam laser rifle. The idea would be merging in the handle of the laser pistol, with the "barrel" portion of the tri-beam laser rifle. Most of the weapon is similar to the laser pistol, so I think it would work ascetically. However, taking apart the Tri-beam rifle model is a little beyond my current skills. If anyone knew of a model that was already "in pieces," I would be able to copy/paste the pieces in nifskope, to make something knew. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The wiki for the tri-beam lists; "The tri-beam laser rifle has the appearance of a shortened laser rifle. It lacks the tube on the bottom length of the barrel, but has a new emitter aperture, wire assembly, and is a darker color." So it would probably be pretty easy to remove the tube on the pistols bottom, make a face, then add the emitter and wire from the tri beam. I'm not sure you could really shorten the pistol as it's already pretty short. But that should do it. Turned out to be a real bear, but I'm fairly satisfied with teh results. I have a few ideas, but none that I'm enthralled by; Wild Wasteland: Triforce; a golden laser pistol (zelda) frickin' laser beams; A beam splitter resulting in 9 beams total (lower damage per a beam, but more total damage, favors low DT opponents), much like metal blaster Just deserts; This reverses the insane additional 40 dam (per a beam) that is inflicted only on the player and applies it to super mutants. Unique: 3rd times a charm; Higher rate of fire triple score; if all three beams hit there is an additional bonus damage A more powerful experimental version like pew pew (orange) or the AER15 (green) or blue tri-beam laser pistol. I play exclusively a apacalyptic cowboy, but the tribeam pistol has kind of grown on me. Any ideas for a unique and a Wild Wasteland version?
