Mods and Hardware Recommendations

Hi Everyone,

I don't have a computer, so I can't test mods for myself, and I haven't had a computer in a while. I'm on the market for one, and I'd like to get back to Oblivion when I have it, but I've been out of the loop for so long that I have no idea about the capabilities of current technology -- i.e. what kind of hardware I'd need in order to run Oblivion smoothly with a slew of the most graphically/computationally demanding mods (Qarl, OBGE, ENBSeries, etc). I'm also thinking of getting a laptop, my first. So I'm really adrift at sea. I'm hoping that you guys can offer a little advice:

 

1) What sort of hardware (desktop or laptop) will fit the bill? Will the 5870m be powerful enough? I'm especially interested in what kind of hardware I'll need in order to run OBGE at 1920x1080.

 

2) What hardware are you guys running, with what graphically demanding mods, and/or what are your frame-rates (or do you have no framerate problems)?
