hoshi23 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010  hi all, so i recently started playing around with geck, but now i run into the issue that i have two interior rooms, which are exactly 1 unit of each other on the z-axis no matter how i shift them around leaving a small strip to see through from one side. simply snapping it does not work. :verymad: is there a trick to it like to reduce the scroll speed or a neat button?maybe someone can point me in the right direction. :thanks:
Cipscis Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Have you tried using the "Snap to Reference" feature? If I remember correctly, its usage is detailed in Bethesda's YouTube tutorials. Cipscis

hoshi23 Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 i finnished my tenpenny interior consisting of 12 /13 roooms all with a working navmesh and tested it, but there are still 3-4 small leaks in the overall level. when one runs besides the leaks the character blacks out for a second. pretty funny imho. the snap to reference has been helpfull for objects, but doing whole room parts and shifting rooms to one another, replacing; with that it did not help at all or i am prolly to green behind my ears yetto make it a 100% clean interior. the badest part: it is not simply a hallway thats easily to replace, but my fav part. no matter how i move the parts around they are always1 pixel of each other?
joey2176 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 The only way to make sure there are no gaps in the kit pieces you are using is to use snap to grid.If they don't seem to fit right, try changing the snap from 64 to 32 or even 16 or 8 if you have to.
Agnot2006 Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 For tiny changes you can also use the X,Y, and Z position boxes to input the exact height etc of the previous section.
Cipscis Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Are you selecting all the references or just those statics that are part of the tileset? If you're selecting all of them, then try only selecting the ones that actually need to snap. I'm not entirely sure, but I think that might fix your "leaking" problem. Cipscis
