silhouett
I have a zip file of a .nif file and its associated .dds files which loads ok in nifscope. It is my head and face. I want to put it on an actor in skyrim but am a noobie on doing that. Could someone help me accomplish this ? I dont think you need that, open console in Skyrim and type "spf nameofyourchoosing" (without quotations), it will save spf file in your Skyrim folder, in the Creation Kit you can import the spf file when you open the NPC under Character tab (where face data is located), that is it although preview in Creation Kit is usually uglier than it looks in the game. When you save your work click on the NPC in Actors list and press Ctrl+F4 to export facegendata, you will need that data otherwise you may end up with black face bug. You can also use the spf command to make faces for NPCs in the race selection menu at the beginning of the game, pick your race and gender, edit the appearance until you are satisfied and open console and type spf nameofyourchoosing as previously mentioned, then import it in Creation Kit. Very handy for creating NPCs with non generic look. http://www.creationkit.com/Dark_Face_Bug
silhouett
Thanks Darth Sidious I think that will help with some of what I was working on. It does not actually help me import my real facegen data but I do like the fact I can alter generic NPC faces as you suggest. However There must be a way to take my nif file and dds files above and import them so that the npc would have them. most of the making the nif and dds file work is done so Nifskope can save it as a file type for skyrim but they still come out as a nif file and dds files that some how would have to be applied.
