New Extensive quest mod and questions.

I have an idea for an extremely extensive quest mod, I'm not going to give too many details yet so I'm just going to ask some questions that that can't be taken in one specific way.

1. Is it possible to have over 500 npc's in one general viewing area without completely crashing even the best possible computer ?

2. Is it possible to add new dialogue options to pre-existing NPC's ?(ex. making Moria brown say "pie" as a greeting.)

3. Can you make npc's that are lying on the ground speak without getting up ?

Oblivion had some limits, I can't recall the one here.. I heard people with 20+ npcs indeed. Basically the game isn't made for huge amount of npcs as their AI is(/could be made) complicated. It has nothing to do with the ability of your PC, just the oblivion system. If you're going to create a 'crowd' thing you might need something far more simple like they did in the arena with oblivion. Some moving activators that look like npcs from a distance..and dummies upon close.

Thanks for the info. Without saying too much, the reason I wanted to have that many npc's, was that I wanted a certain army of somethings fighting another certain army of somethings at a certain wide open place. But then how do people do the stuff in those videos, like the one where the one guy has like 100 behemoths and 100 deathclaws fighting each other ? If you really want to know exactly what I'm trying to do if It'll help, I'll pm you the details.
