silk8185
i've been reading guides and half making it up as i go along myself, but i cant seem to figure this out, i've found a spot i would love to create my own "Custom" house in, so i've landscaped it, i've added the object so in CS Render window i can see it perfectly, it looks stunning, so i save, and boot up Oblivion running the Mod with the new building in the middle of nowhere, spend i dont know how long running to said middle of nowhere only to find my object... isnt there. Doesnt matter how many different objects i try to place in the Exterior cells, or where, none of them show, is there something really basic im missing?, i just dont get it. please help. Vagrant0
Make sure the exterior is part of the Tamriel worldspace. Sometimes people don't realize that all the towns exist within their own worldspaces and just add their stuff to that one by mistake.
Maigrets
Also make sure your game is patched to the latest as well as the latest version of the CS. Not being patched is another reason why things won't show up in the game even if you see them in the CS.
silk8185
as for being patched, im not sure why it would make a difference only to Exterior cells, i've added things like spells to my character with the same versions im running now, i've also added items (weapons) and armor to various interior cells using it, so i dont think thats the problem. as for the Exterior Cell, it was a Wilderness one, so it wasnt a City Exterior if that was what you meant, basically, heres what i did. and where, opened CS with OBV.ESM and my own .ESP with existing changes, found a nice spot, Bravil Wilderness 16,-3 and plonked an exterior on top of the Hill, (in this case it was just the first building i found to test the location with, cant even remember what it was) Saved it to the Plugin (the active file) and loaded up my game (Continued, not restarted) then walked to the location, and there was nothing there, no exterior, but the Landscaping effect i'd added was. (i raised the area the object was on so i'd know exactly where it was going to be.) once this failed i rinsed and repeated with various objects, houses, beds, chairs, all manner of things, and nothing showed up ingame. the only thing i can possibly think it could be but cant check right now is that i'd need to start a New game to have the house exterior added, but i cant fathom why, i dont do that with other peoples mods, and i didnt need to for the landscaping to change. so im at a loss to be honest. any other advice or sugestions would be most welcome. Objects placed in Bravilworld do not exist outside of Bravilworld. They all have wilderness. To make my point clear, when in game, open console. Type in cow Tamriel 16, -3 this will send you to the Tamriel wilderness cell. After taking note of the area, type in cow Bravilworld 16, -3. This will send you to the Bravil wilderness cell (and probably where you put your stuff). The two exist in different worldspaces.
silk8185
Oh..... i realise now im a pleb, i misunderstood what you meant! "Wilderness 16,-3" is just Bravil Worlds "Overlap" of the actual area? and i've put it in the Overlap?, (im assuming the Bravilworld terrain is just used for farclip reasons and such?, otherwise i wouldnt get it, but thanks for your answer Vagrant, at least now i should be on the right path! :). Thanks again.

Thanks again.it is as I said it was. The city worldspaces are separate from the main worldspace. This is done to make the game less demanding since you have fewer NPCs wandering around when outside. The overlap exists because the city worldspace is a child of the main worldspace so that LOD terrain and map data is shared equally between the two. But changes to one wont appear within the other.
