skullbomb Posted July 3, 2014 Share Posted July 3, 2014 So in certain areas the distant lights from the New Vegas Strip dim and go out completely. It's not permanent but it's consistently happening when I walk through certain areas, just north of 188 Trading Post/NCR Safehouse all the way up to when the Strip's cells fully render.Basically, what's happening here:http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/311984-light-fade-distance-problem/ Only that solution doesn't work for me. I have tried reinstalling, booting up without mods, trying a combination of lighting-oriented mods, playing with default video settings, but walking through the specific zone between 188ish and outer Vegas causes the lights that are supposed to always be on to go dark. Dunno if it matters, but I run a modest rig with an Intel i3-2100 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti. Anyone else encountered something like this? jblazestreet Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Don't know if you ever got this sorted but I have the same problem and it's driving me crazy. Can't figure out what's causing this. Further, it seems to cause problems with other things in game as well, the special Nuka Cola types don't glow, for the mod "Legacy of X-13" the armor when fully upgraded should have glowing textures on it, but they don't glow for me.
