Vagrant0
You might have more luck if you make the information about what sort of work you want available without having to sign up and ask you about it. People tend to want to know what exactly they are walking into before agreeing to anything. If you could provide a map or landscape layout that you're wanting to have this worldspace look like, and maybe information about how large this worldspace will be, you may even get some random contribution to get you started. All that aside, heightmapping work is only practical in the initial stages of a project, and can never particularly accurate. Meaning that heightmapping work is intended to be only there to give a rough layout of the land and identify key features of the terrain. Smaller work would need to be done by your team as work progresses. Furthermore, if you are wanting any region setup or terrain painting, you should probably mention that outright as getting this part in can often require several days of processing, as well as a reasonably capable machine (more than 2gb RAM free) to handle it all. This is not normally presumed to be part of heightmapping, so should be specifically mentioned if needed. You should also know that heightmapping is impractical for any project needing an area smaller than 10x10 cells, and that any heightmapping done to existing worldspaces will likely ruin any pre-existing terrain. If either of these cases are present, your best option is to stick to using the landscape editor and adjusting as you go. It can be done even if you have a fairly large worldspace. Raradir
I was going to remake a thread asking this agian but I thought I'd just renew my offer here. As to the above question, suppose I should of explained more, we need a heightmapper to recreate the whole of the English Isles, so thats England, Scotland and Wales, we have a heightmap we just need someone talented enough in this field to do it and so it looks believable. ThanxRaradirThe problem with any landmass that large is that you would either have a ridiculously vast amount of terrain that would take a good decade of work to fill, or end up with a scaled down landmass that won't look believable. More still if you had wanted to recreate any of the unique geologic features of that area. You might want to consider the scope of your project and come up with some sort of acceptable scale for the area you are working with. Anything larger than 6-8 quads should be considered as being far beyond what any project could manage to fill. Anything larger than 4 quads requires quite alot more talent and ability to put together. Size means alot.
