jtucker40
Hey guys, So I downloaded Arlix's Pilotable Vertibird mod the other day and absolutely love it, but I wanted to find some way to make it a more personal craft. I found a texture that I wanted to apply to it (the Navy paint scheme from http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18783/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout3%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D18783&pUp=1) and looked into finding a way to apply it to Arlix's mod. Upon doing more research I found this thread from last year about someone who was roughly doing the same thing as I am. In it, someone responded with this: Mefoofo & Anoxeron - Hello! I've answered Anoxeron in a little more detail in a pm but I thought I'd put a basic version of the answer on here in case others were wanting it. :smile:The models used are set in the Activators, the Activators themselves are unique to the mod so changing them will only change that particular vertibird just as you wanted. No need to change any scripts as far as I can see, they refer to the Activators & whatever model is set in there is what get's used.If you look in FO3Edit at Personal Vertibird Home mod, under Activators you will find them.Looks like it's mainly:J3XVertibirdActivator&J3XVertibirdActivatorFlyInThey both point to the the same model:VertibirdEncount01.NIFThat's a Broken Steel model that's in the:BrokenSteel - Main.bsaSo you should only have to redirect the mod to use a new custom textured version of the model used.Apply your custom textures to a copy of VertibirdEncount01.NIF model & rename it to something unique like SnazzyVertibirdEncount01.NIF & place that model into your meshes folder.Change the model used within the mod to point to your new model instead of the VertibirdEncount01.NIF. Probably easiest to do so in FO3Edit in that Activators section I mentioned above.I threw together a quick test, this is a called in animated Vertibird from the Personal Vertibird Home mod using a quick camo retexture:http://i46.tinypic.com/242ekwh.jpghttp://i46.tinypic.com/aww08w.jpgHope this helps!Prensa I tried to go through these steps but got stuck when it came to applying the custom textures to my own copy of VertibirdEncount01.nif. I looked through the sidebar on NIFskope and didn't see any textures that looked like they edited the Vertibird's appearance except for when I went into the things called BSShaderTextureSets that has textures called Vertibirda(b).dds or vertibirda(b)_n.dds. Could anyone help me out with this? Also, would anyone know how to apply the textures to the vertibird model that you use when you're flying? jtucker40
Update: I figured the retexturing stuff so I'm all set, but I have one more problem that I think is just part of the mod. http://i.imgur.com/n5pTUQP.png The landing gear are off center in the model, is there any way I could shift them back?
