Conflicting mods?

HGEC Body only changes the Mesh and texture files from the default body - As long as you don't load any other body mods it should be fine.

 

The game not starting is usually caused by a custom race. When you get near the cell door, the prisoner in the cell opposite starts talking, and makes some remarks based on your race. That triggers the emperor and his guards. I imagine you used one of the custom races from rens, so he doesn't know what to say.

 

That is solved in the unofficial Oblivion Patch I recommended.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Rens will probably not change the load order. The date of Rens will remain the same no matter how many times you 'reinstall' it.

 

In order to change the load order, you need to use a tool such as the Oblivion Mod Manager "OBMM".

 

This is a very useful tool most mod users would never do without anyway.

 

The full version of rens probably adds the custom race "Rens Mystic Elves".

 

You can add Kt's Custom Race Fix to solve that problem.

 

Choose one or the other and move it to the bottom of your list with OBMM.

 

Here's a picture. Select the mod you want and use the buttons at the bottom left to move down or move to bottom. Make sure you have sorted by load order like in the picture:

Thanks. The dungeon part works now thanks to the hotfix.

 

i reextracted the HG EyeCandy body mod and now it works...sorta...the body isn't purple any longer but there's another issue now, which is that the skin/body texture lacks certain features. For example, the nipples are skincolored and there's no hair on the private parts, those surface textures just won't load. Any ideas?

I tried deactivating Ren's "full" beaty pack and see if that changed anything and it did. With it deactivated, i have full texture on the body of my char. Any ideas as to how i might get the mods to work together and why they are conflicting? They are supposed to work together.
