LE Hosting/attending more parties?

The Diplomatic Immunity quest is really the only time that you can "mingle" with the high classes of Skyrim. I think it would be cool if after you become thane of a hold the jarl would occasionally invite you to a party. Some things would prevent an invitation like being on the other side of the civil war or having a high bounty in the hold.

 

During the party there could be a server or two that give you free food, a bartender for drinks, a bard for music, some genaric noble NPCs that just say genaric dialog, the jarl hosting plus their advisors , a random number of other jarls (0-all, influenced by CW questline) some guards for protection, and some influential people across skyrim like those East Empire Company bosses, thalmor diplomats or just generaly rich people.The party would take place in the hosting Jarl's palace, though the size of the party will be smaller in places like Winterhold where it is just a long house but bigger in places like Dragonsreach and the Blue Palace.

 

After the DB gains some popularity (By killing Alduin? Uniting Skyrim?) they can host parties. You could choose the location, where the servers/bartender/bard stand, send out invites, and buy food and such for the party. The guests will remark on the quality of the party and you might get a reputation for hosting good or bad parties.

 

So the parties aren't just NPC collections, there needs to be some topics of converation and events. For example when talking to Jarls you can talk about the state of their hold and about profits when talking to rich people, ect. They will respond with some unvoiced line about the topic and might give you a quest (Not sure what yet). Some random events might happen during the party, like the Dark Brotherhood attempting to kill someone, a fight (With fists or words) between two guest or more, running out of wine/food, dragon attacking outside, some poor people rioting over somthing, thalmor trying to shut down the party, drunk guest causing problems, a thief stealing somthing(s), a guest loseing an item, uninvited guest(s) trying to get in, challenge to a drink off, friendly brawl, a toast to someone, gifts to the host, ect. As the host you will be expected to deal with these events and the NPC host will resolve them with varied effectiveness.

 

So what do think? Feel free to expand on the ideas.

I like the idea. It would be wonderful to have such a mod, even if an alpha version, where you can send invitations/invite anyone to your house for a party and they sandbox there for some time while also bringing gifts (vanilla scripts). Of course it would be awesome if you were invited too.
