Project beauty HD and giant exclamation marks...

Recommended Posts

OK so i have made some progress!

I got regular PB working, BUT PB HD still just gives me giant exclamation marks...

ok so the instructions tell me to place all the stuff in meshes in to my fallout 3 directory's character folder, was i supposed to place them in the HEAD folder?

and what about the SHARED folder that comes with PB HD?

any help appreciated!

For Project Beauty HD, you need to download "PROJECT BEAUTY MAIN FILES", "Project Beauty HD" , and "Update to Version 2_68b for both versions" from the project page. Extract the main files archive, copy the folder named Data into your Fallout 3 directory (the one with Fallut3.exe), and tell Windows "Yes to all". Then do the same thing with HD.

The update archive is the tricky one. There are all kinds of .esp files in different folders. Move any of the files that apply to you into your Fallout3/Data folder and enable them with FOMM. Don't use both the base and HD files.

Update!

Me thinks me got it! whoo hoo!

I'm getting all the new hairstyles from HD plus no giant "!" so i'm guessing it's working!

I'm missing 1 hair style that does give me a "!" but i have heard it's in the comp folder? not sure if i'll bother.

damn finally! so now i got FWE + MMM + PB HD working! only fellout left to go!!!

well that and the comp patches and load orders and soon to come conflicts...

Hey thanks!

I'll have to disable the base then since i'm running both.

I tried just copy paste the data folder but i would always run into some issues, so to avoid people telling me to "follow the read me instructions" i decided to be as literal as possible.

hey for that missing hair style, it doesn't belong to anyone important does it?

i would hate to get to a character with a giant "!" at some point in the game...
