toolset is probly why you arent finding it ;)

You can get it on the official bioware site, I believe. I got my copy of it at fileplanet.

http://www.fileplanet.com/207103/200000/fi...Origins-Toolset but at fileplanet you have to sign up for a free account.

found it from bioware. Its on their social forums.

http://social.bioware.com/page/da-toolset

good luck, hope to see mods from you :)

will warn you tho, the toolcrap is hard on system resources, and isnt the most easy of programs to figure out.

Iis is Internet Information Share. Its a part of what sql uses in it's databasing. You may need to have to install that seperately. Tho without knowing which operating system you have on the computer, I can't give you much assistance there, other than pointing you directly to their website.

http://www.iis.net/

http://www.webwizguide.com/kb/asp_tutorial...s_winXP_pro.asp

After doing some checking, knowing which version of windows you have, would be greatly beneficial, as sql wont run on certain versions of winXP, only the Pro version :\

I use the worst disaster of an OS that Gates ever came out with - Windows Vista lol

If you know a way to overcome the curse of Vista so I can use this app correctly, I would be greatful :)

Thanks- Az

hmmmm. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it? if that doesnt help, whats the exact file that it's missing? 32 bit or 64 bit?

meh, me too. It's got a few nice features and additions, but damn it's a ram hungry pain in the ass.

I have done this many times... according to the wiki there should be a folder called toolssql in the tool folder of DAO, but there isnt... should i create a dummy folder and name it this?? The wiki only shows aid for XP, but says very little of Vista and nothign useful for Vista lol

making that folder yourself couldnt hurt. However, that's not going to install a missing file. :(

Are you running vista 32 bit, or vista 64 bit? MANY of the 3rd party apps that use mysql for this game, DON'T like the 64 bit version of the OS. Also if you'd be able to post a screenshot of that error message so that I could know which file is missing, it would give me some idea on which part of the process is messing up. ;)

I run vista 32 bit, but it doesnt seem to matter which version I try,

ive tried every version of SQL I can find, including all the 2008 versions, but the problem stems from the actual toolset- ive downloaded several times and reinstalled many more times, but it is missing a pathway every single time.

the pathway that is missing is-

C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\toolssql\\Data\\

(toolssql/data does not exist in the downloads ive recieved for some reason so it isnt reconized by sql at all, even after manually vcreating the pathways)

and these 2 files-

bw_dragonage_content.ldf

and

bw_dragonage_content.mdf

are not in the correct locations according to wiki they should be somewhere else altogether, but they are hidden inside a folder that sql cannot access. I had to search manually thru every Dragonage and DAODB file in my system to find them :(

I wish I knew why this was, but unless the server is having issues all week, the dl for toolset seems to have been corrupted somehow and I am unable to repair it at this time.. maybe eventually they will fix it and i can try again...
