LastJohn
Using the Construction set I have been making a new mod and it is pretty big and has taken countless hours to do. However, last night I made the first interior to this mod took roughly 12 hours and still isn't complete. Then I deceieded to fix the exterior fort as it was glitchy. I did that only took about a half hour. I didn't add anything new just moved some walls and parts of the foundatin around to fix it. However, in game it looked the same so I went bak to the CS and the original fort was still there except the pieces I moved around e.g. the walls were also where I moved them and just made things that much worse. The interior seems to be working fine, however the exeterior world never started acting like this until I started the interior. I have not changed anything in game what so ever, my mod is way far out so it is not conlicting with anything. Anyways. After fighting with this for hours I said I would just delete the fort and start over. So i did saved it and restarted the CS and the stupid fort was still there screwed up! Im think this is stupid... I can't even delete it. So i went to a castle I built (exterior) and moved some stuff, for the most part it was in great shape just a couple walls were overlapping. Saved the mod, came back to the CS and went back to the castle. And it did the same thing the fort did, it looked the same before I started messing with except once again the walls and foundation I moved were like copied or something. I have not a clue what happened. So, I loaded a earlier version of this mod, still not as complete as I liked it to be but still would beat the heck out of starting over. Haven't touched this version in weeks. I go to the fort try to delete it, and it won't. Acted the same way as before. Anyone have any idea what this is? Why the CS will not let me add anything or move anything as when i do it leaves the original and still adds what i did. Please, I have done a lot of modding but this is by far way to ridiculous. Also, on a side not. Im using Vista and Hidden files is off I know for 100%. However I have never been able to find this mod. All my other mods are in the Data directory where the CS saves them. However this one isn't. So when testing something out I made a new mod and saved it and didn't appear either. Then i tried saving it to desktop (easy to find) to see if it would appear and it didn't However These mods appear in Data Files in the game menu and I can play them and also can load them in the CS so they are there. Just can't find them. I tried searching in my computer and found them, kinda. They are shortcuts only and don't lead to the files. They say the directory these files are in is data Folder wich is where the CS saves them but I swear they are not in there. My previous mods are, just not any new ones. Anyone know what thats about? That has never happened before either. Anyways, sorry for the long post. But I have no idea why the CS keeps acting this way all of the sudden. Any help would be great, Thanks. Maigrets
I can't help with the Vista related issues and finding your actual esp as I use WindowsXP, but they also may be the partly the cause of your other problems including not being able to delete files. The game and the CS weren't supported for Vista because they were both in production and released before Vista arrived, so there are a number of issues that hopefully someone who uses that OS can help you with. When you place something in the CS then go in game to check it should be there....so if you go back to the CS and makes some changes they should also be there. This seems obvious, but... I think what's happening to you is you're using a save game that already has the information from previous work. When you're testing an ongoing project you must always use a save where there's no information related to your mod included in it. Or don't save your game and go to the location each time as if you've never been there. Then your changes will show up correctly. If you use a save with old records of your mod you can get duplicated and missing items, landscape errors and possibly crashes, depending on what it is you're doing. The issues with the outside cell have nothing to do with starting the interior. One can't affect the other because they are two different cells. The only connection should be a door or other entrance between them. You could have a huge rock as your exterior with a door or hatch and the interior could be a complete palace. Neither will affect the other. You could also tear down and move the exterior and it won't have any effect on the interior as long as you link the doors correctly so you can move between them when you rebuild. You said you've done a lot of modding so I gather your game is patched to the latest as well as the latest version of the CS.

LastJohn
Thanks for the reply's. Maigrets seems to be correct. My Interior has nothing to do with the Exterior messing up, I kinda didn't think it did just a little unusual this happened after I completed the Interior. It was that I had a test character already at the islands from checking it out earlier and after fixing up the the exterior and loading the game with that Character it seemed to make duplicated items and making the CS default to them each time I loaded the plug-in. It has been a long long time since using these Construction Sets, sad I had to learn this error this way haha. As for the saved plug-ins. Last night a started a new one and it isn't appearing. However when i go to save and it asks where to save the mod (Default is Data Files) it shows all of my Mods there and I click save in that directory and it has to save otherwise I wouldn't be able to load it up in game or the CS. However I navigate back to Data Files to see and it is not there, or my previous ones but I can load them in game. My previous mods from a few months a go are in there. I find this odd haha. But I got the bggest problem solved :) Once again thanks for helping out. It was very much appreciated.
