ladyhawke
Basically I made a few changes to Brandice's house in greyditch. Added a couple of containers and cleaned the place up a bit. I was under the impression that unless you have a mod that changes containers to respawn that you were pretty safe keeping things in the default containers in the house. I come back from exploring the metro and find the cell has reset, all changes are still there however the default containers have all respawned. I'm not sure if its that the containers have respawned or the game has placed new default containers along with the cell reset. I've had a look in the geck and can't see how this could happen. The ammo containers I placed have not reset, but the default unbroken fridge I placed there and the oven have. All my nuka cola quantum I was keeping in the fridge has gone, along with the items that I kept in the first aid box. I've been away risking my neck and its like thieves have broken in and stolen everything. I find this a little humerous but I would like to find out the reason this happened so I can prevent it from happening again on an interior I choose to modify. pkleiss
That really should not happen. The only thing that comes to mind is this. Did you happen to change the Encounter Zone for the Brandice house? It is set to None normally, but if you added one that resets the cell, that may be the reason. But still, I would not think that a container that is not set to respawn would respawn. CommanderCrazy
Its a feature in the game.If you put something in a container that you didnt own, it will be gone.Next time, try selecting the container in the console & type "setownership". This should help.

ladyhawke
The strange thing with this is three ammo boxes that I placed with unique id's did not have ownership set at all but the things I'd put in them were still there. @ pkleiss apart from the ambient lighting there wasn't anything else about the cell details that I changed. I've started a new game and removed the edits with FO3edit to the house I'll leave some things in there and see if it happens again.
