FCOM Help

I hope this is the right section as I'm typing this, sorry if it's not

After reading through many guides, trying all help sites/pages, I still have a few questions/problems with FCOM. My main questions were:

1. The main page of FCOM states "It also seeks. . . and thus includes optional support for Bob's Armory. . ." but in the install guide it states that it is one of the required installs. Does this mean the files (Meshes/Textures/etc.) are required ALONG with the .esp, or is the .esp required? Although Bob's Armory looks good, I'd rather play without it, but if I can't I'd play with it joyfully.

2. After installing OOO I found some features that I absolutely hated. One feature was "Drop lit torches", but I remember seeing an esp that disabled it, is that .Esp compatible with FCOM? As I don't see it mentioned anywhere. Another feature I noticed was after opening chests/drawers/etc. they either stayed open, looked trashy, or worse. Is there something that removes this feature? I have to be honest that I absolutely hate this feature, and in my opinion is a game-wrecking feature.

3. While playing a new file after installing FCOM it seemed any "Rusty Iron/Steel" weapon was missing a mesh, is this something that was installed with Bob's Armory or something with OOO? I had installed the 1.33 complete version of OOO, but many website showed that I should download 1.32 and upgrade (or something along those lines) and figured the meshes might have been part of that.

I struggled for 10+ hours with this, so I figured asking would be my best choice. Thanks in advance = )

Have you recently rebuilt your .ini matey? I had a similar thing with some weapons and stuff when I did, but its not an OOO specific issue. Off the top of my head I recon its actually Frans & MMM. There's a few BSA's that need renaming, in case you should have to rebuild your ini as they add entries to that to make sure the BSAs load. Renaming them is completely safe and is actually the way that Bethesda make sure the BSA's for the official DLCs load. The two I remember having to rename... hmmm... lets see... One of em is the Marts Monster Mod BSA, which I think needs renaming to FCOM_Convergence - Marts Monster Mod BSA or something similar, the other one is the Francescos optional new items and creatures add-on (the seperate 450mb download one) that needs a slightly more complex proceedure, firstly renaming your Shivering_Isles.ESP to Oblivion.esp and renaming the FCOM_optional_ whatever the heck it is bsa to Oblivion- Fcom blah blah blah... I can't remember off the top of my head but all the info is on the pages linked in the FCOM Home Page, and I can't even link you that as websense is shooting it down. Damn work internet filters. :(

Before you take any more troubleshooting steps, make sure you've read through the FCOM homepage and the linked pages properly and changed those BSAs names. They're the root of several of the most common missing mesh/textures/animals problems with FCOM installs, and the cause of the infamous "All the creatures corpses are glowing green!" issue.

Thanks for your reply, I've tried looking more in-depth about what your said, and everything works great! I don't have any missing textures or bugs that were annoying me before, and even answered some of my own questions in the process. I knew asking someone would help in the end, so thanks for your help!
