Fungo12
Hi I am trying to download a few mods from this site, but all of them has the same name 'download.php'. I have no idea what that means, and I can't open them. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
DarkeWolf
you're not doing something right. Are you right clicking a link and choosing save as? Thats a no-no  you need to click the link, let it open another page, and then the download process should start automatically if not give you a server list (in the case of files larger than 2mb). In which case you choose which server you want to DL from, and then the process starts.esentially what you are doing is downloading the web page which has the scripts imbedded in the page to start the download. .php is a web page format ;)Its happening because these links don't go directly to the files. The links direct you to a webpage which has imbedded scripts to load the file. Its a security measure against bots, presumably.
Fungo12
Thanks for helping me out, but I still seem to have this problem. I get the server list, and when I select the server, I just get the download.php file, however I have no problems downloading smaller files which doesn't make the server selection pop up. I don't get it. ;) Actually scratch that. I just tried with a samller file, and I got the same 'error'. I right clicked the file, made it open in a new window, and it still gave the wrong file. --- I think I got it nailed. Apparently the lavasoft downloader guard did not like this site, and kept messing up the downloads. I removed it, and now everything works. :D
DarkeWolf
Cool, I'm glad you got it working. LOL I was just gonna ask you what browser you were using, and if you'd checked your security settings. But glad to hear that you got it worked out. ;)
