Please forgive my newness. I would like some opinions on body "mods" and perhaps what kind of clothing or armors can be found for the bodies. Also I would like to add companions to travel with me,if that is possible This is all new to me and please be patient if I seem a bit confused or I lack an understanding of the information you give me.I hope this is the correct forum. If not please could a moderator move it and forgive my not knowing of where to ask, thank you.

Might want to break out your questions into different threads, to focus better.

That said, I'd suggest HGEC for female bodies, and Roberts for male. Both have become defacto standards these days, so they have the largest number of clothing and armor mods. Not that you can't wear HGEC and Roberts armor/clothing with a different body type, but there will almost certainly be a degree of clipping.

As for companions, if you just want the basic type, try CM Companions and CM Partners. Be sure to check out Companion Master, as well: a great mod that adds all sorts of functionality to companion control.

If you want companions with personality, I strongly suggest the following:

Companion Vilja

Viconia

Stoker Wolff

Baddy

Saerileth

Saphirias Romance And The Djinnis Chamber

The Heart of the Dead

Dremora Companion

Ruined Tail's Tale

With the exception of Saerileth, all come with quests, some extremely elaborate. You can check them out individually here on TES Nexus. Knock yourself out. :)

the first thing is you gotta http://www.tesnexus.com/ go there and where it say's name search whatever you are interested in body replacer whatever. But even before that because I extracted alot of MOds into the data folder only to find out certain ones need OBSE so I downloaded OBMM and in order to use OBMM you gotta download a mod 7zip it ( open archive ) then copy the folder that's inside drop it on your desk top then make a new folder and and drop it inside then rename the folder you dropped it into ( optional ) open the folder and right click the item yiou dropped inside 7zip click extract here then open OBMM click create then click open add folder search for your new folder then click it then click create mod it'll ask you if you'd like to continue without renaming ect. you can but probably want to rename it then click activate after its done loading click the esp to the left if necessary then you can either launch Oblivion or download OBSE open the folder and copy whats inside except the src folder then after you copy those files right click oblivion then click open file location and right click and paste right there done! click OBSE loader and it will launch your mods in OBMM It took me awhile to figure this because I googled it and a few people were saying OBMM launches OBSE but it's the opposite. THe next fun thing is tes construction but that'll come later Ps if your mod in OBMM is giving you trouble right click it click clean and then delete it this was giving me trouble because if you don't clean it somtimes it'll stick around after you try to delete it and won't go away unless you reinstall oblivion somtimes.. That should be it... Oh yeah OBSE is for the big Mods usuallty just so you know and heres OBSE download the newest version 18 http://obse.silverlock.org/ and OBMM free http://games.softpedia.com/get/Mods-Addons...d-Manager.shtml

Welcome to the Nexus

If you are new to mods this might help.

The link for OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) given is for a very old version. v0.5.7 from May 2006 - 4 years old!

We support OBMM here on TesNexus with the latest version v1.1.12 directly from the author Timeslip, dated Feb 3 2010 - Last month.
