XDANX
When I go into program files/Bethesda softworks/data folder there is meshes and textures BSA files but the meshes folder isn't there and the textures folder has an effects folder with terrain noisedds inside but where are all my dds files and nifs wheres weapons also I can find some of my nifs and dds files in the search files and folders but certain ones are missing like humanheadnif though the dds is there How can I be missing all this yet my textures are fine in the game? But my real question is how do I get this back I just uninstalled reinstalled trying to and does anyone else have this problem?
Maigrets
If you're playing an unmodded game there won't be any meshes or textures folders. All of those files are in the BSA files which are highly compressed archives. The game uses these to load all meshes, textures and sounds (from the Sounds BSA). XDANX
So how do I make an Omod out of a charactor I created using tes construction because aren't the meshes/textures needed and... if so how many are we talking like all of them to be placed in the mod folder and say I do put them in the mod folder which makes no sence to me what do I do from there I would rather have it on my desk top incase I gotta uninstall Oblivion I have a created charactor in tes construction and I'm afraid to move forward with abunch of mods I downloaded because I don't want to lose my charactor in CS if somthing should go wrong. bben46
The first time you add a mod that has Meshes or any other subfolder that it needs, It should automatically be created in the right place. From then on any new meshes etc. will be added into that folder. OMODs will place everything properly when they are activated. If you do not use the OMODs, you may have to place them yourself. If you want, you can manually create the folders and they will be automatically be used. Be sure to use the right names if you do. Meshes, Textures (NOT mesh & Texture)
