Raestloz
Quick report: tried Gamebooster and no improvement. I really think this is more of a curse and less than a technical issue now
Jenrai
Okies - One thing that smacked me in the head looking at your tech post before I even bother to read the rest; you have 2gb of RAM running on Windows 7. You don't have enough RAM to run Oblivion at full tilt mate, I can assure you. Whilst 7 isn't the RAM hog Vista was, it is still a RAM greedy OS, and XP installs struggle to run it at full tilt with only 2gigs, so I can pretty much promise you Win7 ones will. The recommended specs are 2gb of RAM. Minimum is one. If I remember my numbers correctly you have about 1.25GBs thats available to be dedicated to gaming running Win 7 with the absolute minimum of other background tasks.Plus you don't mention a soundcard. Whilst on-board sound systems have come on leaps and bounds in recent years, they are still on-board and therefore do not have their own resources. Thats an additional drain on your systems total speed that, whilst not fatal by any stretch of the imagination, it sounds like you could do without. Personal reccomendation would be to get a cheap sound card and maybe another 2GB of RAM, and see if that helps, just from a hardware point of view. Raestloz
Then I recommend you to read the rest first, I tried to reduce the settings from Ultra High to medium (which is not full tilt, still in 1280x1024 though) and nothing happens. The only boost I get is by activating FullBrightLighting a.k.a. Very Low, which, considering the very low visual quality isn't really worth it Although I agree with the additional RAM point, I feel I need more. For now I'm using ReadyBoost with 4GB flash drive I've re-installed fresh, applied 1.2 update and installed Operation Optimization, along with downgrading to 186.18 driver. I've obtained exactly 10 fps increase (from 9 fps to 19 fps). The problem being will my game start to lag once I applied the mods?
