MarchUntoTorment
SECONDED SO HARD This is, quite possibly, my favourite film. Seriously. It's awesome. I'd love to see a redesign of the Bumper Sword. Basically a cleaner, purpose-built Bumper Sword-shaped and -sized weapon coloured in matte black and with a small amount of writing on it (probably so small as to be illegible; depending on texture resolution, might read something like 'US Army Melee Weapon - Dedicated Power Armor Type (15lbs) - Special Forces T51b-Issue'. As for stats, if I might make a suggestion, something like - DAM: 70DPS: 160WG: 20Skill Req.: 100STR Req.: 10Special Effects: DT -7 Long story short, stat-wise, it's a more powerful (mostly faster) unique version of the Blade of the West from Lonesome Road, with a small DT reduction due to (I imagine) it being a pre-war prototype designed for use against medium-armoured Chinese foes by Power Armour operators. I've always been pissed off by the lack of Power Armour-worthy melee weapons except for the Super Sledge and Thermic Lance, so this appeals greatly to me. I'd well and truly settle for just a model and texture for the sword (hell, I'd make the rest of the mod myself), but if anyone wanted, I could make an encounter where the player would find it in the hands of a rogue female Brotherhood Paladin wearing red-painted T45d armour who would attack the player (a reference to Rita Vrataski - a.k.a. the Angel of Verdun - from Edge of Tomorrow). devinpatterson
I can try taking a shot at it, time permitting. I have a few projects going on, so if someone wants to take a crack at it before I get a chance, great. Just leave a post in this thread so we're not duplicating efforts. Outcast  Exactly what I was thinking ;) Although, with that said, do you know offhand if the Outcast PA is in New Vegas' files? Oh, and for size scaling, I'd make this thing about the size of a Bumper Sword, maybe a tiny bit smaller. Thanks for considering this one, Devin! MarchUntoTorment
Bumping for Devin! Been a little while, and nobody's picked up. Still interested?
devinpatterson
Bumping for Devin! Been a little while, and nobody's picked up. Still interested? Yeah, just been short on time. But it should be one of the easier requests to do. I'll try to hit it soon.
MarchUntoTorment
Thank you! I was hoping you'd be willing, since this is really such a low-poly mesh as they go. This is a huge favour to me. Thanks! Also, out of curiosity, would it be possible for you to make one that was a two-handed variant and a slightly scaled-down version for one-handed usage? I think it'd just be a matter of changing its animations and scale in Nifskope, but I'm not entirely sure. I wish that there were a melee animation that allowed you to hold the weapon pointing down, but alas... no matter. devinpatterson
Thank you! I was hoping you'd be willing, since this is really such a low-poly mesh as they go. This is a huge favour to me. Thanks! No problem brother Also, out of curiosity, would it be possible for you to make one that was a two-handed variant and a slightly scaled-down version for one-handed usage? I think it'd just be a matter of changing its animations and scale in Nifskope, but I'm not entirely sure. I think it would be fairly easy, you can really put anything in there. For example I made one for a request for a plunger (no idea why, but it was requested). http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/Plunger_zps701f3bb0.jpg It's really all about the animation, you could probably just as easily have an invisible sword (no mesh, maybe). I think the model itself has almost no impact on the weapon. Just the reach, and other stats on the weapon form. I wish that there were a melee animation that allowed you to hold the weapon pointing down, but alas... no matter. I'm not familiar with the melee weapon animation replacers, but it might be worth a bit of time to check them out.
