izzyboy
I have the same problem on XP. Crashes on startup, never been able to play it. I'm still looking for a solution. After reading several forums with suggestions on fixes, I've reinstalled, patched, reinstalled windows live, got a current codec pack, run in windowed mode, run in non windowed mode, still it doesn't work. I'd love to get this to work, so if somebody does know how please share your knowledge!
Smosh
There are many reasons as to why this might be happening for you. First off, is your system up to spec?
dissentuk
could it be somthing to do with runtime stuff. i hear that fallout installs its self with outdated runtime libraries so maybe the conflict is to do with that. i could be way off tho. DeayRD
I was having problems as well so i just went down and enabled/disabled mods untill it worked and i was able to figure out what mod was casing the problems and unchecked it from FOMM and it worked for me. I do not want to say waht mod it was since it might just conflict with another installed mod. Hope this can help some people.
Thareso
mainly try if you have any mods, to disable them all and then take some your sure of is okay, then try one at time to find whats cousing the crash, often had it before its simple to make do
