zwierz
Hi everyone, I'm totally new in F3 modding so I wish to ask few question about compatibilities before download.I was thinking about downloading following mods: Alexscorpions Sniper Gear19th and 20th Century Weapons v5Classic Fallout WeaponsFrederyck Tactical WeaponsFOOK2 And I have a dilemma cuz I have no idea which of these mods are compatible with each other.I know FOOK2 adds lot's of new weapons but I'm not sure if they will overwrite/change stats of weapons from other mods. Also I'm not sure which of these mods already contains weapons from other mods above and if they will change weapon stats or make some of them overpowered/underpowered. All of these mods are awesome but I just don't know which of them I can download without fear and which of them are not neccessary if I'm using another weapon pack ; /I've read about some weapons 'ammunition' incompabilities too so now I'm totally confused... Could any of you give me some advices? I wish to improve my game a bit but I want to avoid unnecessary incompatilibities. I'll appreciate any help and information :) EDIT:One more additional question. I have just bought full version of Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition (all DLCs included). So before activating any mod it's neccessary to download and install latest Fallout 3 Official Patch and Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch?
123rune20
You DO have to update! GotY Edition doesn't come with all of the updates, I think. Also make sure to get FOMM before anything. I have only experimented with FOOK2 a little bit and it didn't work for me, but that was back in beta. I do think you need CALIBR for the 19 and 20th century weapons, as well as FOOK2, so get that as well.
GrandsonOfSam
About GOTY: Unless there are different versions of the package that I don't know of, it is preupdated to v1.7.0.3, known as 1.7. About Unofficial Patch: The game works fine without it, but the patch fixes a lot of bugs. Then again, it also adds a few bugs of it's own. So test it yourself :) FOOK2 doesn't need CALIBR, but it is a good idea to get it though, but a version that adds the CALIBR schematics to CRAFT (which I think is built in to FOOK2). You will also need the CALIBR merchant mod to get the schematics to be buyable from most merchants that sell weapons. Most of the weapon mods work with FOOK2, but as FOOK changes damage (and also some other values) of the weapons, the weapons from other mods are either under or overpowered in comparison. Best way to use weapon mods with FOOK2 is to load them before FOOK, so FOOK changes override them.
rickerhk
Fook appears to have most of those other weapons mods incorporated already. So start with that. The GOTY edition that I bought already had the latest ver 1.7 of the executable.
