Oblivion is such a cool game

All I can say is Oblivion is one of the coolest games I've ever played, and I'm loving it so much I'm thinking about playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind next.

Just started playing Oblivion about of month or so ago, and it seems there is much more to do still. Haven't even played any game-play mods yet, but it sure seem this game could last a very very long time with enjoyment one can get out of it. This game is worh tthe $20.00 I paid for it without question. Only started playing PC games about 2-3 yrs ago, but I sure wish newer games had the cool game-play Oblivion offers...............

You should give Morrowind a try. You will like it more or hate it, but it's definetly worth it. ;)

I disagree with you...Morrowind sucks...For real...Only that his storyline is cool...But everything else...Is nothing....

Newer does not always mean better. Morrowind is more modable, more stable, and yes, generally older and it looks it. The fact that they rushed Oblivion out to hit the XBOX 360s release date is still smackingly obvious. But if your games have to be high-spec beautiful, you will likely agree wit Extreme up here.

Funny name if he hates one of the games, but frankly I loved MW, and I love Oblivion as a continuation of MW. If it hadn't born the Elder Scrolls name & Bethesda logo, I likely wouldn't have looked at it twice, but I'm ooooh so glad I did. ;)

Oblivion is a great game with hour upon hours of quests and what not.

morrowind is a great game too. If you play oblivion first you will think that MW sux. Then visa versa. I started on MW and I still play it more than Oblivon, and I play a lot of Oblivion. Come to think of it, I played oblivion from 3 to 7 yesterday, and got a lot accomplished so to speak. Then I spend 9pm to 6am doing one hard mission that I kept getting side tracked on.

Anyways, all the TES games were and are still awesme.

Game on my friends!!!

I am much like you but without the years of game play and I only began playing Oblivion a few weeks ago. I am just amazed at what this game does and at the graphics, animation and combat. I have begun to add small mods that have been recommended to me by people here and like you I think I shall be playing this game for some time to come.

This whole RPG theme is very exciting to me and its hard to stop playing at times. My brother is usually a pain in the butt, but I have to thank him for buying me this game and introducing me to an entire new world..

I can't stand Vanilla Oblivion. I don't want to drag this down into the mud, but I'll just say that it feels not only like they rushed it for the 360, but like suits upstairs who have no experience playing video games, let alone making them, were calling a lot of design choices because of said 360's impending release date.

A game like GTA IV, while being much more low-brow and in many cases just lame, is way better from a design standpoint. Top notch writing and design. Older generations hate the GTA games, but the joke's on them since those games from at least Vice City have been professional quality all the way.

Of course, GTA IV has it's own set of glaring flaws; so when it comes down to that or modded Oblivion with FCOM, Better Cities, Bloody Mess, Better Music System and a host of others (not to mention the ability to change it myself), guess what I'd rather play when it's time to unwind.

I started with Morrowind after I'd done everything I could do playing mods on Diablo II LOD. Then I found Morrowind!

Morrowind captured my attention from the start. I know I played that game for a couple of years at least and STILL didn't do everything there was to do, or see everything there was to see. MW plays a bit differently than Oblivion. It was more challenging in some ways. Frankly when I first started playing Oblivion, I was wowed by the graphics, but found the game play dumbed down quite a bit from MW. In Morrowind you had to think more, find places on your own, etc.

Mods greatly increase the play value of Oblivion. If I'd found mods for MW at the time, I'd probably still be playing it. But don't get me wrong, I've grown to love Oblivion and now spend just as much time on it as I did on MW. But as someone said, you'll either love MW or hate it. I'd say give it a try. There are things to love and minor annoyances in both. Each is spectacular in its own right, so just try both and see what you think. But watch it, you don't get paid, even though you'll treat them just like a job, lol Only it'll be a job you just love to go to! :P

Thanks for the suggestions.........

One of the best games I've played is the original HL, and that was made a long time ago without Crysis like graphics. Graphics are sweet, but game-play adds a whole bunch to a games appeal to me. I enjoyed the original HL because it made me think much more than the newer FPS game I've played. I'll give Morrowind a try to see what's it's all about. I'll just add a texture mod at first like I did for Oblivion to spruce things up some. After I get some more experience I'll be ready for mods that make Oblivion tougher to play.....

I'm at level 20 so far in Oblivion, and I was just doing the major quest at first. After finding two of the four items Martin needs to find Mankar Camoran I backed off the main story quest to do all the other things in the Oblivion world. Going to sell my soul today by killing some innocent to join the Dark Brotherhood. Mages & Thieves guild have been my main fractions so far. It's so cool how Oblivion has all these different stories, and I never know what's going to happen next. Plus, I became a Vampire on accident, but I love vampire stuff. So I'm staying a Vampire with this character the rest of this game. Well, off to go play some Oblivion so I get closer to seeing how it all ends. I haven't even been to Shivering Isles yet, but I'm not sure if any future Oblivion quest send me there.......

Oh yeah,

I will definitely be playing Fallout 3 in the future, that game looks like it rocks too...............
