Marlwolf78
Hello. I am having trouble with reskinning some items in-game, particularly the Arena poster, and the Grey Fox wanted poster. I can modify the text of the wanted poster, but the world picture and the framed picture remains the same. Is there something I need to change to get them to work? Thanks for your time! David Brasher
For the Grey Fox poster: To change the text in book-reading mode, all you need to do is change the text in TG01GrayFoxWantedPoster in the CS. To change the image in book-reading mode, you will need to modify Book/WantedPoster.dds in Gimp or Photoshop. To modify how the world object poster hanging on the wall looks in-game, you will need to modify textures\clutter\books\WantedPoster.dds. I can't remember exactly how the Grey Fox Poster works, it is more complex than the average Oblivion book or scroll. I haven't dug too deeply, but the two .dds files mentioned above might be the same file. One image is summoned through the book text in the CS, and the other is summoned by the world object mesh. With the arena poster, the text resides in Script ArenaBannerScript. The texture to change with Gimp or Photoshop is: textures\architecture\imperialcity\ICArenaPoster01.dds. Be sure you got your texture paths correct. If all of the above things are done right, than you might look at mod conflicts, load order, and archive invalidation. Marlwolf78
I think that archive invalidation might be the problem. How would I remedy this? EDIT: I found the option in the OBMM. It was the archive invalidation, and it worked. Thanks for your help.
