What are the best "currently updated and work with all DLC's&

I remember loving the XFO balance mod, it felt much more immersive and real to me, but that doesn't seem to be really relevant for play with ALL the DLC's installed. What currently is taking it's place for the go-to mod for balance, making it difficult in a fun way, and realism (as in, the fantasy realism of this style of roleplaying game, not the REAL realism -- the type of realism that helps with immersion and gameplay)? What works well with all the DLC's installed? Also, I am looking for something that, ideally, fixes lots of bugs that are still present in the latest version of the game. If it matters, I have the Steam version. I am really not sure where to go... thanks!
