I play all the time!True. I spend more time playtesting and tweaking mods than actually playing the game. :whistling: That and a lot of procrastination and staying on the forums too much. :pinch: Reveal hidden contents I haven't finished the main quest yet actually.
Megatarius
@ Swat Walkaway: This is leveled at everyone. Wow Bamspeedy, that sounds pretty familiar. It's a problem a day for me now: Yesterday: The bandits in a dungeon added by OOO were crashing the game every time they reached for their arrows. I refused to accept that FCOM had that glaring of a bug, but couldn't see any option. Went to bed mad about it and had a dream that I found a fix on the Nexus. (Hopefully that was the first and last time I will dream about modding.) The next morning I'm looking at it and I notice when they walk out of the shadows that their stuff is all purple. Praying that it's that easy, I unzip everything from OOO back into the Data folder. I go in to test and before I know it, I'm shot dead with arrows. It actually takes me a second to realize: It didn't crash!!! I solved the problem myself!!!! In a good mood, I left to go look for work. I came back in a less cheerful mood. Today: I'm running around with this Fatigue and Sleeping mod by Loup Sombre. He's the same guy that fixed the first person animations. It's a great little mod. Makes fatigue mean something without too much extra complications. Well, after a while my alteration skill starts rising for no reason. Guess what the culprit is. I go look in the CS at the code. Since I'm not too good with code, but good enough to recognize some things, I rely heavily on script comments, which a super pro modder like Loup Sombre is kind enough to provide in the script. In French. Sacrebleu!!! @LHammonds: I found myself thinking today, the game is nothing more than testing grounds. I crossed the threshold today, when I found myself disappointed that an awesome awesome mod like MMM Hunting and Crafting had all it's messages in immersion breaking 2nd person. So yes, I did indeed go through all that code and rewrite the whole thing. Anyone want it? Immersive messages for MMM? Of course, I would need their permission first. It's not that hard to change really. Just put some music on and remember one thing: Everything outside the quotes is hot lava.
Riveon
These days, I spend all my Oblivion time looking at mods and admiring them, and maybe bookmarking for use at a later date. So I would say I spend all my time browsing mods, not using them, making them, or playing the game. I usually don't have any problems with mods, when I do use them, unless I install a lot at one time.

Khet
Wait... Oblivion is a GAME?! Holy crap! My "ritual" of playing, whether it's Oblivion or Fallout: 1. Launch CS/GECK2. Make changes, add stuff, whatever3. Launch Oblivion/F34. Test5. Close Oblivion/F36. Rinse and Repeat I don't think I've actually "played" the game in over half a year now... I probably should, but to me it's more fun to work on mods than it is to play the game, even if most people never see my work. Out of the 50+ mods I'd probably worked on, whether they're finished or half-finished... only one has ever been released on the Nexus lol
