fume0101 Posted March 16, 2010 Share Posted March 16, 2010 I have been searching around the forums for tidbits of info here and there, piecing together what I need to do to make the textures I am editing apply properly in game. Thus far, I have gotten as far as getting the Texture to load the proper colors, aside from a tint issue. However, they only apply in a LOD as far out as about 10-15 feet from the npc wearing them. I am using JB's HD Armors and completely reworking the color schemes and resizing to half the resolution. I generally prefer this as it seemingly allows me to avoid hassling with the DA Toolkit. I am thinking that there is no way around using the toolkit now, however. I am saving the files as DXT3 and ensuring that Generate Mipmaps is selected.Anyone have any ideas how I might make these work. I have done no file converting that I am aware of. Just editing JB's HD Textures as-is. Which I suppose is what confuses me, because when I place his default textures into my override folder, they work just fine. Taurox Posted March 16, 2010 Share Posted March 16, 2010 I know this isn't the answer to your question, but you mentioned your changes are occurring but only at a certain distance away from the target. I do know that there are separate texture files based on distance. Like the nude texture mods only work when close-up , get 12-15 feet away and it shows them in underwear. From your post it appears you are altering another mods texture files, have you only altered one of them therefore it is the one 15 feet away and need to duplicate this for the closeup texture as well?
