What is the deal with generally snide comments?

I agree, but it's kinda funny how a thread about snide remarks/general snarkiness has elicited the same type of passive-aggressive comments about trolls themselves. Said trolls could be genuinely, quantitatively mentally ill for we know. Take the high road, fellas :laugh:

Don't slander the mentally ill. Plenty of them manage to go about their lives and their internet lives with a measure of respect for others and decorum, despite their condition. The effort that the mentally ill make to follow the rules and lead productive, helpful, normal lives is no small thing.

 

Trolls on the other hand see most websites and forums as little more than their personal bathroom and instead of making effort to be good members of the community they go out of their way to leave nasty stains on the walls, if any of them do have a mental illness it's not an excuse or an explanation for their bad behavior.
