Companions have insane amounts of Ability points but no talents!

So I imported a character (several times to make sure) into DAO:A and found that each time every single one of the henchmen I encounter have almost double the amount of attribute points I have but a blank skills page with 1 point to distribute (but since its blank I can't!) and only 3 talents at lvl 23!

 

I tried making them drink a respec potion but they still only have 3 talents and 1 skill and a blank skills page.

What's odd is that their talents don't seem to have any skill requirements either!

 

What I got installed:

Most DLC

Pickpocket speed up mod

Rally supression mod

No follower autolevel

several texture mods

 

According to the BW forum, a few (i.e. 4 people) have the same problem, but noone else seems to mention it!

Try disabling the "No follower autolevel" mod.

Some people have had the problem of new followers having no attributes/skill points at all to use in Awakening while using this mod.

I had the same problem and was sooo frustrated since unloading the mod and force-load the save-game didn't seem to help....but then I experimented some and found a way to undo the problem. So if you have this problem and it wont go away when unloading the mod, the answer is soo simple, just head into an area that forced your party to disband like the good ol camp in the DAO, in my case it was the throne-room then just leave and suddenly all my characters had their skills back.

 

So in short:

 

1 - Disable the Mod

2 - Force-load the save-game

3 - Enter the throne-room to have your party "disbanded"

4 - Leave and choose your party

5 - Problem fixed

 

Hope that helps if someone thought just unloading the mod would help but it didn't.
