MasterDRD
So while I wait for some kind soul to take up my Death Knight Armor mod request :whistling: , I decided to download the famous Lich King Armor and Frostmourne mods. Both are very nice, but I wasn't satisfied with how I could still see my eyes/face under the helm. I looked up my options, and saw that SETI had created several sets of replacement helm meshes, the very 1st one which I found quite satisfactory. Look under Files-LichKing substitutions for the files, and the 'readme' is here. Unfortunately I don't think English is SETI's 1st language, because the 'readme' wasn't very clear on exactly how I go about installing the new mesh files. There are 2 files, "LichKingHelmFlame.nif" and "LichKingHelmX.nif". Neither file is already in the folder for the original mod, so there's nothing to replace without renaming something. It says to put them into the "...meshes\armor\jojjo" folder, which I did, but that just made the helm pure silver colored and removed the blue 'eyes' that were on the helm before. Then I thought that perhaps I was supposed to remove the "X", but this just makes the game crash. I also installed SETI's other mod, but I stopped using it because the "voices" you hear every time you put on one of the armor pieces really got on my nerves. (no offense  ) There are a lot of user screenshots under the original armor mod that show the helm with glowing eyes, so I presume some of you have gotten this to work. So I ask you: how did you do it?
MasterDRD
Anyone? (hate to double-post but it's been 2 days now and I want to get this fixed... Surely someone has used SETI's glowing eye meshes for jojjo's Lich King Armor mod and can tell me how to install them properly...?
Sealwarrior
Some good news and bad news. Good news first: The helm does work without the use of SETI's Quest Mod, but in order to find the right file, you have to download the helm from a different link: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20248. You already have that down for the readme, but in the downloads section there is a link for "New Lich King's Helm with Glowing Eyes." Download that and install the mod, then apply the new helm meshes. Voila. Now the bad news. This file contains a seperate .esp that can mess up Jojo's .esp in order to obtain the new helm. It messes with it by overwriting Jojo's work, so that you only get the helm. In order to get the full set of the Lich King, you must also use SETI's "Way to Frostmourne" or "Death Knight Spells v1.3" to complement the helm. For the past two hours I have been trying to find a way around this without downloading SETI's mod, but I have been unsuccessful. You could try it out yourself, if you want, to see if you can find a workaround. You could also try to post a comment on SETI's mods' page on TESNexus to see if someone else has a fix for this. SETI is no longer around, as far as I know, but it is still worth a shot. Sorry I could not do anything more for you. As for the Death Knight Armor request, I have some welcome news there. Jojo has created 2 other armor mods in addition to the Lich King armor. One of them is the armor of a Dread Knight, as well as some weapons to go with it: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24850. It may not be the actual armor of a death knight, but it still looks intimidating nonetheless and would be a perfect complement for the LK armor should you choose to add a companion or two. If you choose to download it, please endorse it as it is a fantastic work of art.
MasterDRD
I'm not a modder and I certainly can't create meshes and whatnot, but I could certainly open up an esp in a text program and swap some lines. If someone could tell me how to get SETI's helm transplanted into jojjo's mod (not the stats, just the helm itself. Jojjo's enchants are good enough already... :P) or better, do it themselves, I would be very appreciative. Of course, I suspect it would just be a lot easier to use the aforementioned replacement meshes, if someone who has done it already could tell me what to rename the meshes or what files to replace in the /jojjo folder. Related note about the request thread: yeah, I've seen jojjo's Dread Knight armor. I agree that it looks good, but what I want is the actual armor that's in WoW. I have a sort of emotional attachment to that armor, which is why I want to be able to wear it in Oblivion so much. But that's a discussion for another thread...
