I want me a pet!

While this may be an impossible task, I'm guessing that its something many of you will enjoy getting your teeth into!

 

This task is: to get me a pet!

Here are some possible requirements.

 

1. The pet should live in or around my house! This would preferably be S'rathads house in the talos plaza district: (see here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:S%27rathad) or possibly the aleswell inn (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Aleswell) Note: the aleswell inn would be easier as a dog occasionally walks in with its owner, who i could reverse pickpocket kill, but explore the other possibilities too!

 

2. Possibly most important: I only have access to the PS3 version! (so no console commands or mods!)

 

3. The pet can be any form of animal, but I can't obtain the shivering isles, so nothing from there unfortunately. I.e. a deer, how could I lure one to my house? Can I at all? How can I steal a dog? How can I make a bear friendly etc

 

4. If I can't do so, what random crap can i get to follow me around. think evarscamps rather than annoying fans!

I think you are out of luck. The base game - which your PS3 limits you to does not have any pets available. Neither the PS3 or the 360 allow anything that is not in the base game.:confused:

 

And before you ask, The mods will not work, and cannot be made to work on either PS3 or 360>:(

 

Whereas the PC version has dozens of mods that introduce many types of pets.:thumbsup:

While the animal may not be an official 'pet', I'm looking for the next best thing.

 

For example: s'drassa's dog in the aleswell in! Another possible route is sheep. The 'sheep' page on the wiki says that a certain sheep (uuras's) have a liking for apples and will follow anyone with them. In theory, could this mean I could take them all the way to imperial city? Inside my house even? And could I get them to stay there?

 

I'm looking for both imaginative thinking and insight. Could I perhaps reverse-pickpocket a command creature on self item onto some animal? Just a thought!

Try it and see. It just might work. Not sure if you can get it into the city though. Not even horses are allowed in. I had never heard that about the sheep before.:whistling:

Alas, I don't have the game at the moment, one of my friends does. And he owns it! But hopefully it'll be on its way soon.... and I'll have a thousand crazy activities lined up for it!
