Klondiked
So I've recently started playing Fallout 3, and I'm jumping right in with mods. However, because of my location, my internet is really slow (typically measured in B/s) and I get dropped frequently. This makes downloading a challenge. I have a download manager (Free Download Manager) and it's been working well for me, but the downloads from The Nexus cannot be resumed. I can resume, and therefore download, from PlanetFallout, but unfortunately I can't get Marts Mutant Mod or FWE from that website. So, I'm wondering if there's a workaround for being unable to resume downloads, or if I just happen to keep selecting the wrong mirror, OR if you can suggest another website where I might be able to download those two files. Any help appreciated, thank you.

I'm working on a DVD which contains most of the popular mods so you'd only have to download it once and burn it on DVD to enjoy it for the rest of your life even on low bandwidth. I'm afraid there aren't really any other places to download them, maybe there is a torrent somewhere you should try the homepage of the mod or ask the author. Well, goodluck with the downloading. Most sites don't support download managers due to their potential toward exploits, but I believe you can use it for this site if you have a premium membership. A month of membership shouldn't cost you too much and give you the ability to download a couple of those large mods you've been wanting. The alternative would be to visit a net cafe or something similar (like colleges if you're a student) with a zip drive. Then you can download, save it to the drive, and install when you get home. You could also ask the mod author if they could upload it to a site that allows download managers, of if they could break it into parts for easier download. Beyond that, things like torrenting are not a particularly good idea. Although it is one of the reasons why torrents were invented, any such torrent is normally uploaded without the permission or verification of the mod author, and may contain malware and other nasty stuff. Most ISPs also put heavy restrictions of p2p usage, so it may result in an even slower download rate or being dropped from your ISP.
