darkxsniperx9
Hi, I have been having some problems with mods. Some mods come out as a giant exclamation mark. Can someone tell me the reason this is happening and how I can prevent it. Thanks guys.
David Brasher
Are you saying that some of the custom objects in the mods you download and install appear as giant yellow diamonds with black exclamation marks? This means you have missing meshes. The mods were not installed correctly. The file path needs to be like: Oblivion\Data\Meshes\*New Mesh Folder or .Nif From New Mod* If you can't find where you installed the new meshes, just decompress another copy of them and install it in the right place. Check the readme file for help with installing the mod.
Khet
Readme files rarely seem to help with installation. Most expect you already know how to install mods. But, for a bit more detailed description either way: Unzip the mod to a temporary locationOpen up the new folder and browse until you find a folder that contains the .esp file, and potentially a Meshes, Textures, or other folders. To install the mod, copy the .esp AND the folders to your Oblivion/Data directoryWindows will ask if you want to merge the folders, say yesUse the Launcher or OBMM to enable the modEnjoy!
