Trying to figure out weapon fx

Hello,

 

I've made a custom pistol which is loosely based off of the proportions of the 10mm pistol. Though, the barrel of my pistol is longer by a few (in game) inches.

 

When I fire, the FX for the propellant being on fire, exiting the barrel creating those nice gunfire visuals. However, because my pistol is a little longer, this fx doesn't match up. Is there a way to tweak these positions (and maybe edit them in case I want to enhance them in the future)?

I'll check this out later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the answer. What would you call those effects, I had the hardest time trying to google it and something tells me it might have something to do with my search terms.
