DarkeWolf Posted March 23, 2010 Share Posted March 23, 2010 right now the majority of the files from awakening cant be read by the toolset. so cant read the file to find out that sword's filename. cant open it's file in the toolcrap to reassign it to a different mesh, and texture file. so... while I dont want to sound unsympathetic, I'm afraid that until somebody figures out how to get the toolset to read these files, or fig out how to get the toolset to write mods to awakenings, right now we just dont have the tools to do it :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hdhd Posted March 23, 2010 Share Posted March 23, 2010 Items are no problem to edit in Awakening you just have to figure out the itemname. Only if you want to change the item description or item name you'll have to recreate the item. For instance look at the source of my gift add-in (http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=882). The items are either in C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\packages\core_ep1\data\designeritems.erf or C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\addins\dao_prc_ep_1\module\data\designeritems.erf. There are different versions of the sword http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Vigilance so you have edit them all if you don't know which one you have. HarielA4 Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 I found the uti files for the Paragon and Masterpiece Weapon runes that were bugged in those very same erf files. Exported them and just changed the value that was wrong and put the modified file in the override folder. Worked like a charm. To do the meshes you just have to look at the names of the meshes in the UTI I am assuming and use that to name your mesh files. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
