Megatarius
When the message pops up in game, to set the Bash Key, you simply push that key. Do the same with the Dodge Key. Just push the button you want to use. The pop ups are pretty self explanatory. You're looking way too deeply into this. Also, I might as well mention since people sometimes ask it: The grab key doesn't need to be set. It's a normal game key. If you knew that already, great. But some people worry why it didn't prompt to set that key.
Herecomesthechoclate
Heya, ahh thanks, but i think i tried that and it didnt work. for example i think i pressed the 'G' key but i dont know if it set it or not :Pis there anyay to check what you've set it as? also can you only set it after the box comes up or do u do it while the box is stil there? i suppose its possible that ive gone wrong somewhere in the installtion process but if the box actually came up then im inclined to think that i couldnt have gone wrong unless just becuase the box came up doesnt necesarilly mean that the Mod has installed properly. and lastly in order to do the cuts and such do you need to have acertain level for that weapon type? or can you do them provided you get the timing right whatver your skill level? cheers
Megatarius
There's an hourglass in your inventory that will let you reset the buttons. Just click on it. The cuts are done with two things: 1. Your luck. Sometimes you'll get a cool finishing move. Mostly not. 2. Your skill. When your blade or block skill is high enough, do the standard power attack and it will result in something gorier than Bethesda intended. Did you download the readme?

Jenrai
Not getting the hourglass reset item is usually a sign that your OBSE version isn't high to support that version of deadly reflex. Current stable version of OBSE is 17, but dev versions are up to 18 beta 6, which I'm running with no problems, though I have seen some saying its not stable. Regardless, I believe DR5 only needs version 17 anyways. Make sure its installed and up to date, and you are launching the game through the OBSE launcher. OBSE dependant mods will not work without it. Its as simple as that. If you do have the minimum/better version of OBSE installed, and even if you don't, deactivate DR, load up the game and save it without DR active (assuming your continuing a previously saved game) to make a clean save, then exit the game and reactivate the mod & restart. If you have a good enough version of OBSE, and launch through it, within a couple of seconds of starting the game you should get the first pop up asking you to set your shield bash key. To cut a long story short - Read the pop up. Click ok. Press only the key you want to use for shield bash/weapon punch wait for the next pop up. Rinse and repeat for doge/flip & horse combat (Isn't active in DR5. Choose a key thats out of your way. Mounted combat should make its return in DR6) Hope that helps matey.
