geck crashes

well l8ly ive been trying to make a npc companion with unique dialouge problem is evertime i try to add a topic the geck crashes this problem also accures when i try to add topics for custom radio stations

Are you trying to add the topics from the quest page? You can't do it from the NPC's page where you click the 'Dialogue button"

Do you have Vista and a RealTec Audio card? If so, try plugging a microphone into the mic jack. I know this sounds weird, but it works.

yea im adding topics from the quest page also no im running on windows 7 and i dont think im useing realtec audio card im useing my onboard soundcard (not sure wat it is) anyway this problem still accures even when i try to add existing dialouge such as jurichos so i dont know

Does this happen every time you try to add a topic, or just in certain circumstances? What I'm asking is: can you ever create a new topic or does it always crash? If its only sometimes, then this is the first time I've heard of this. If it happens all the time, I'd still try finding a mic and plugging it in, just to see.

 

What happens if you make a brand new mod? Can you add a topic to a quest then, or does it still crash? If you can add a topic to a new quest in a mew mod, then perhaps your current mod is bugged up a bit. You can always check it for record errors with FO3Edit, if this is the case.

wow it worked found my nephews rockband mic plug it in tried to add a topic and no crash thanks alot for helping me out

Hi there, I know this is a bit of a dead thread now, but just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I also had this problem and attaaching a mic sorted it out.
