princeopeo
ok what i want to do is make larger versions of existing items in the game. ill use the nuka quantum as an example. i know i can setscale in game and make the bottle larger. set to 4 is perfect size for what i want. however, the game still identifies the base of the item as the original size so half the bottle falls through the floor when i stand it up. i could use some advice on how to make this work. i was thinking that i could make a duplicate of the quantum bottle in geck and set it so it sits higher up and then go into the game and see if it stands higher. but if you have a better idea let me know how to do it. i want this to be a permanent display item for my museum display in my vault. i could use some advice i am new to geck. also, does anyone know a mod that makes static items useable? things like the hula girl statue for example. so i can add more items to display in the museum. or also a mod that adds some kind of dummy i can drop and move into place to display armor. thanks for any help. pkleiss
You may have to get Nifskope and Blender to get what you want. Although you can scale items to look bigger, that doesn't always increase the scale of the collision on the object. If you import the model into Blender, you can then scale both the model and the collision arounf it and then export it as a new nif for use in Fallout. I did this for a few models, but had problems using the exported nif from Blender. I ended up copying the respective branches from the new nif and pasting them over the coresponding branches in the original to make a new 'larger' model, then used that in Fallout. To get a static item to become a mist item, you need to extract the models from the BSA. Then edit an existing misc item and change its ID name and point its model to your extracted hula girl nif. Voila - a pickable hula girl. Use Feng Shuito place items on display in the Fallout world.

Whenever I save a file it does not appear in the data folder even though it says it has saved and when viewing it using Geck the file has a lock symbol over it. FOMM cannot see the files either are there any ideas for what I am doing wrong. The file seems to have saved but does not appear with anything
