Need help with a model

Hey everyone, I am making a mod and had the great idea to make a working elevator for in aylied ruins ( well, I think it's awesome, to me )

I even found a model for this, that would be ARChainPlatform01, it has working animation for going down, but it won't go up.

I checked in NifSkope and it indeed only has a forward modifier, no backward. So, what i need is someone who can make this for me, or at least tell me how to do this.

I know how to make animations but every time I try they dont work in game. They work in Nifscope but not in Oblivion. If I find out Ill try and make it but dont get too excited. Animations are somewhat complicated.

The problem of your animations not to work in game, coudn't that be a script problem?

The most obvious reason would be that you did not put in a playgroup "animation" in your script

Hm, You could replicate an effect from the traps - but make it non-lethal, you would be limited with height though, and its not a slow moving thing either.

 

If you did any of the mages guild quests properly without doing the "movetoqt" command, theres a wood elf that stands on a trap and gets obilterated by it when he flies at the ceiling spikes. I'm thinking, can you make a non-lethal version of that- But its an activator (Button) say on a small pillar on the center of it, or at the side of it.

 

 

I'm no scripter but thats just a general idea i thought to throw in. I'd like to see the outcome of it though.

I did place a playgroup script but still nothing

 

As to what Javalin said that would work except that you probably would have to add some walls in Blender and scale down a bit. The activator thing would most likely work if you can get the scripting right. You should try that
